IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICE

Stand-alone USCIS RFE response for a new client (previously filed case)

This stand-alone service is only for a NEW client who has an RFE on an application filed independently or by another law firm before retaining Green Chavez. It is never charged for an RFE in our own retained matter.

STARTING YOUR CASE

What this service involves

We begin by reviewing your immigration history, eligibility, documents and goals. This helps us determine whether the standard service described here fits your situation and what evidence will be needed.

01

PREPARING YOUR RECORD

Typical documents we review

The exact documents depend on your history, eligibility and the filing requirements.

  • The complete USCIS RFE and deadline information
  • The original application and supporting submissions
  • New documents responsive to the specific request
02

LEGAL PREPARATION

How we prepare the case

We review the existing filing, identify requested evidence, prepare one focused written response, and submit it under a separate limited-scope engagement.

We explain the filing plan and any case-specific concerns before the representation begins.

03

FLAT-FEE SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

What is included and what costs extra

Flat attorney fee ONLY for one standard USCIS Request for Evidence (RFE) response accepted as a NEW and SEPARATE representation when the underlying application was filed by the applicant independently or by a different law firm before Green Chavez was retained. Includes review of the notice and available prior filing; deadline, requested evidence, and response requirements assessment; legal and evidentiary strategy; one written RFE response, with ordinary supporting documents and exhibits; submission to USCIS; and routine tracking within this engagement. Excludes translations; expert reports; certified records and extensive FOIA retrieval; complex criminal, fraud, or inadmissibility matters; multiple unrelated notices; new underlying applications; motions and appeals; and responses to Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs). ABSOLUTE FIRM POLICY: every RFE response arising within a matter already retained by Green Chavez is included in the original flat attorney fee at NO additional attorney charge. This $1,500 fee never applies to RFEs on an existing represented matter. Any later RFE arising during this new-client RFE-only representation is also included if it falls within the agreed scope.

The signed representation agreement controls the exact scope. Government fees and outside costs, where applicable, are not included unless expressly stated.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before we begin

Are government filing fees included in the price?

No. The displayed amount is the attorney fee. USCIS, consular, medical, translation and other third-party charges, when applicable, are separate unless the specific scope expressly says otherwise.

Will you charge an extra attorney fee if USCIS sends an RFE or NOID?

No additional attorney fee is charged for RFE or NOID responses arising within a Green Chavez matter already covered by a flat-fee representation agreement. The separately priced RFE and NOID services are only for new clients with applications filed independently or by another firm.

How do I find out whether my case fits this standard fee?

Contact our office for a case-specific eligibility and scope review. If your situation falls outside the listed service, we will explain the additional work and fees in writing before you hire us.

NEXT STEP

Discuss your case and understand your options.
